This dreamy landscape took some doing to capture.

It's not usually easily to get so many elements into one frame, yet capture one entity as the hero.

A cold morning in the hills - the mist lifting sleepily off the ground - shrouding over farms, a big grove and even hills, all drive my eye to that little cottage in the center.

Yet like all hill towns, this serenity will soon become a beehive of immense activity - seen and unseen.

Dried from a stark lack of water, the tree still holds it's ground; seems like it's serving as a way-point for birds to take a quick rest before continuing their long jouney home under the burning afternoon sun

I chanced upon this secret lake tucked away behind a little village.

I can see why people in the village don't want to publicise the lake. Such is the silence and tranquillity the world recedes somewhere far away,

I spent so long looking out at God's creations, that it was afternoon before I realised I needed to grab my camera!

Sometimes there are no words to describe nature. So, I'll stop now, and let you soak it all in, too.

As the sun posts its "Out For The Night" board, crickets jump out all over the place blowing their raucous trumpets everywhere, birds come home to roost and even the most hardworking insects turn in for the night.

It’s now that the change of guard happens with the straggly trees at the ridgeline becoming the sentries for the night.

Shot on a cold winter morning, in the foothills of the Himalayas, this composition took a lot of doing.

There was a foreground that was of beautiful, abundant undergrowth, and a mid-ground that was cloaked in morning fog that was not yet ready to rise (you can see it blanketing the middle of the frame).

Most of all though, it was the sun's rays that were staggering. Painting the sky in colours, hues and shapes, that changed by the second. The clouds floating away (on a breeze I couldn't myself feel) add a sense of purpose and journey.

My favorite part of the photo? The twin peaks that are below my horizon, casting those twin splinters of shadow in the glorious orange.

It can't be easy… taking root in rocky, unhelpful soil.

But courage arises in the harshest of conditions.

This tree stands tall, despite the odds. And it makes such a strong statement, of courage against all odds.

Could there be a more fitting description of the end of day?

The singleminded focus to get home to the family seemed to fuel these two crows as they ploughed their way through the warm summer air.

To me, there isn't a more exciting feeling than this - heading home to the warmth (and madness) of home.

The shade of overhead trees, a placid river, birds chirping - all overshadowed by overly vociferous frog!

There isn't a better place to get away from crowds and civilisation, than the Black River off the Tembeling River in Malaysia

This is one of my personal favorites.

It's my go-to photo when I feel "boxed in" by life, it's myriad problems, and especially when I'm feeling forlorn.

It reminds me that my woes (and even I) are insignificant in the face of magnitude of things outside of 'me'.
