Translated from Latin, this is a three-leaf clover that creeps close to the ground, instead of standing tall. Yet, it's still an important part of vegetation as it helps fix nitrogen and out-competes weeds in crops.
The more I learn about nature, the more I marvel at the intricate balance woven into it.

Found mostly on dead trees, or dead parts of living trees, this fungus is one of the oldest known fungi exported from New Zealand. Often included in Asian dishes, this floppy fungi is also considered to have some medicinal properties.

I just love how the light is falling on this dead branch, perfectly lighting up the fungi and crafting an environ that only light can.

Growing on a tree these mushrooms were hiding in plain sight. Till the sunlight filtered through, spotlighting them perfectly.

Found mostly in North America, Western Europe and New Zealand, how they found their way to India, I wouldn't know. But what a journey, for something so beautiful!

For the curious, they are inedible; and while pretty, they are known to cuse rot to set into the host tree - as they digest parts of the wood which give the wood strength and stiffness.

Interestingly, they've been known to be used as natural combs :)
